Get Started with Your Trezor Hardware Wallet

Thank you for choosing Trezor, the world's first and most trusted hardware wallet. Follow these simple steps to set up your Trezor device and start securing your digital assets with confidence.

Step 1: Prepare Your Trezor Device

  • Unbox your Trezor carefully. Ensure that the packaging is sealed and has not been tampered with.

  • Choose the device you are setting up: Trezor Model T or Trezor Model One.

Step 2: Connect to Your Computer or Mobile Device

  • Visit Trezor Suite — our official desktop and web application.

  • Connect your Trezor device via USB cable or supported mobile connection.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest firmware if prompted.

Step 3: Create a New Wallet or Recover an Existing One

  • New to Trezor? Create a new wallet and securely back up your recovery seed.

  • Already have a wallet? Select the "Recover Wallet" option and enter your recovery seed carefully.

  • Important: Never share your recovery seed with anyone. Trezor will never ask you for it.

Step 4: Secure Your Recovery Seed

  • Write down your recovery seed on the provided recovery card.

  • Store it in a safe and offline location. Consider using additional security options like a metal backup.

  • Remember: anyone with access to your recovery seed can access your funds.

Step 5: Start Managing Your Crypto

  • After setup, you can manage Bitcoin, Ethereum, and thousands of other coins and tokens directly from Trezor Suite.

  • Buy, sell, exchange, and track your assets securely, knowing your keys remain safely offline.
